Katie Anne Stone’s work rises from a passion for and love of narratives. She draws from a broad range of inspiration: from science and nature, to traditional mythologies and religious iconography. The result is a body of work grounded in a unique point of view. Her ultimate goal is to create a dialogue with the viewer, and art that is open to personal interpretation; flowing from maker to creation to translation.
She graduated from Tyler School of Art, Temple University with a BFA in Painting and Ceramics. Presently, she works as an illustrator and painter, as well as the studio manager for the Creative Arts Center, Thompson Park; teaching a broad range of art classes to the public.
